Meet Mali
Hello!
Hi, I’m Mali.
I’m a coach, a licensed professional counselor, and a big believer that meaningful change doesn’t come from pushing harder—it comes from listening more closely to yourself.
I’ve spent years working alongside people who look like they’re doing “fine” on the outside but feel stuck, anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected on the inside. My background includes a master’s degree in counseling from Boise State University, national board certification, and years of experience supporting people through anxiety, perfectionism, life transitions, and relationship patterns. Coaching grew naturally out of that work—especially for people who want forward movement, clarity, and self-trust without the heaviness or pathology of traditional therapy.
My Philosophy
I don’t believe you’re broken or behind.
I believe you’re adaptive, thoughtful, and probably carrying a few protective habits that once helped—but might not fit anymore.
I see growth as something that unfolds through curiosity, compassion, and honest self-connection. You don’t need to be “fixed.” You need space to slow down, notice what’s happening inside, and make choices that actually align with who you are and what matters to you.
I also believe deeply in the wisdom of movement and being outside. Some of our best clarity doesn’t come from sitting still and thinking harder—it comes from walking, breathing fresh air, and letting the body lead for a moment. Movement helps us regulate our nervous systems, access intuition, and loosen the grip of overthinking. Whether it’s a walk, a stretch, or simply stepping outdoors, I see movement as a powerful tool for reconnecting with yourself and creating space for insight. It’s not about performance or fitness—it’s about presence, rhythm, and remembering that your body is part of the conversation, too.
My Approach
My coaching style is relational, reflective, and practical. I draw from Internal Family Systems–informed work, person-centered coaching, and values-based practices to help you:
Understand what’s driving your patterns (without judging them)
Build a kinder, more trusting relationship with yourself
Create goals that feel sustainable, not performative
Move forward with clarity instead of pressure
Sessions often include conversation, reflection, gentle challenges, and tools you can actually use in real life. Think less “life overhaul,” more intentional shifts that add up.
Outside the Sessions
When I’m not coaching, you’ll usually find me outside—walking, running, or soaking up time in nature. I love knitting, baking sourdough, and any creative project that lets my hands be busy and my nervous system settle. I care deeply about meaningful conversations, laughter, and building a life that feels grounded and alive.
If you’re looking for a coach who will meet you where you are, help you understand yourself more deeply, and walk alongside you as you move forward—I’d love to connect.
